May Newsletter

Many Kingdom blessings since our newsletter in January. We thought you would enjoy seeing these pictures…evidence of your many prayers and financial gifts! May you be blessed as you view each picture. We do apologize that there is no photo of the leadership from Santisima Trinidad in La Ceiba that gathered for the Great Commission Congregation meeting….Joe and Howard forgot their cameras!!!!
We want you to know that every financial need that we posted in our January newsletter for our ministry has been met!! Hallelujah!!! We serve an awesome God! Thank you Lord for Your faithfulness!!
When we arrived home in April from Australia, Bishop Mark Lawrence of the Diocese of South Carolina appointed Joe as Priest-in-charge of Good Shepherd Church, here in Sumter. This appointment enables us to help Good Shepherd out while we are in Sumter with their pastoral and worship needs. It also allows them to join us in our ministry. Therefore any future financial contributions for gifts or special appeals will come through Good Shepherd and not through St. Augustine’s Mission Fund. However, we do want to thank the dear folks at St. Augustine’s and especially John Spann for his dedicated support to our ministry over these past 3 years. Just be sure to write your checks out to Good Shepherd Episcopal Church and on a note, let us know what or who it is for. Send the check to our address below so that we can make sure it gets to where you want it to go.
Remember that those of you who give to our ministry through SAMS (Society of Anglican Missionaries and Senders), is for our day to day expenses that we have and for those expenses that occur that the special appeals don’t cover. So this aspect of giving to our ministry stays the same. We appreciate all of you who support our ministry through your prayers, financial offerings, or both.
As summer approaches, we are in a discernment process….please join us in prayer:

Thanksgiving that a recent Doctor’s appointment for Tina found a cyst on her thyroid to be benign.

In closing, we want to share a scripture with you that has been special to us from John 13.3. “Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power and that he had come from God and was returning to God.”

Jesus knew who He was.
Jesus knew who He belonged to.
And Jesus knew where He was going.

May you always remember who you are…(A beloved child of the Father), who you belong to…(You belong to the Father), and where you are going…(You are going to be with the Father eternally)
Your life touches many lives and your life will make a dramatic change in someone else’s life when you remember who you are, who you belong to, and where you are going…….Enjoy your Kingdom Life here on earth. You are a gift to the world and we are blessed by knowing you. We thank you for your friendship and love.

Be Blessed to be a Blessing,
Fr. Joe & Tina
